<p>The process is for making shoes by making the upper and then fixing it to the sole. The upper is made by dropping the pattern of the upper squarely onto the mould, with notches in the punching machine to absorb folds at the toe. The toe and the counter, which are supple, are fixed by stitching or bonding and are then sewn to a band and the inner sole. The upper is put on a mould and the inner sole and the band are bonded round it, the sole is then bonded on this by heat and pressure.</p> |
