PURPOSE:Not to increase the wear resistance but to realize a long lifetime of a member, by forming the sliding surface of a magnetic tape by adding the crystalline grains composed of Si having a specific grain size into the solid solution consisting mainly of Al. CONSTITUTION:The rubbing surface of a member having the rubbing surface of a magnetic tape is formed by adding the crystalline grains of about >=80mum grain size and composed mainly of Si into the solid solution consisting mainly of Al. In this case, the content of the crystalline grain is set at 15-30wt% (preferably at 20-25wt%) with the minimum mu value. Thus the stick slip phenomenon between the tape and the member. Furthermore the crystalline grain protrudes beyond the surface of the solid solution by about 0.3-3mum to prevent the vibration of the tape. In such way, not only the wear resistance but the lifetime can be increased for the mbmer, and the creaking of the tape can be prevented. |
