Mechanical energy to magnetic water heater - has magnetic rotor inducing heat in stator to heat water

The magnetic water heater consists of a shaft (1) carrying a multi-pole rotor (2) with permanent magnets (3) at the pole tips. The rotor is enclosed by a cylindrical steel stator (4) itself surrounded by a water cooling coil (5). The whole assembly is thermally insulated (6). Rotation of the rotor produces a magnetic field in the stator inducing heating currents. Heat is further produced by the hysteresis effect of the varying magnetic fields in the stator. The stator is cooled by the water flowing through the coil (5).
