<p>A dyeing process for textiles in loop form, which are circulated within a closed vessel at a speed of 1-800 m/s., uses a liquor ratio of less than 5 vol. liquor to 1 vol. dry cloth. The liquor is circulated at a controlled rate through a heat exchanger by a pump of variable delivery, and contains foaming agents to promote the formation of a foam bath by air which is injected into it by a fan or other suitable means. The dyestuff may be introduced into the liquor within the vessel itself, or via the heat exchanger, via the fan, or into the sump of the vessel. The low liquor ratio represents considerable economies in the consumption of dyestuffs, etc., of energy, and of dyeing time.</p> |
