PURPOSE:To stop generation of cutting chips of the wedge and to contrive to feed the wedge having a fixed length by a method wherein a wedge material feeding device and a wedge material cutting device are connected to a driving motor through the intermediary of a normal position connecting clutch. CONSTITUTION:A groove drum intermittent rotating device 20, with which a groove drum having a plurality of grooves corresponding to a core slot is rotated, and a wedge cutting and pressing-in device to be used for feeding the wedge material 5 to the groove drum are provided and are driven by a common driving motor 24. In this case, wedge material feeding device 21, which constitutes the wedge cutting and punching-in device, the wedge material cutting device 22 and the wedge formation and pushing-in device 23 are connected to the driving motor 24 through the intermediary of the normal position connecting clutch 26, and an excitation control is performed on the normal position connecting clutch by the signal sent from a detector 28 which is mounted on the groove drum intermittent rotating device 20. |
