<p>The hand-held mechanical erasing device consists of a housing (1) with on/off switch (2), containing a battery (3), motor (4) and erasing wheel (5), the motor (4), having a rotating armature, and the erasing wheel (5) formed as a flat disc. This disc (5) can be exchanged, when worn, through an aperture in the housing (6), and is fixed to a bevel wheel (7), which together with a second bevel wheel (8), fixed to the armature shaft (9), forms the driving gear train (7,8). A variation in the erasing head can be made by replacing the rubber disc (5) with a glass fibre brush, which when connected directly to the armature, makes the bevel drive unnecessary. This hand-held eraser, allows more pressure rubbing out to be effected, as its erasing tip can be guided over the image to be removed, with great precision.</p> |
