The invention relates to a hot-briquetting plant for reduced iron, with a stock vessel (2) for receiving the latter from a container (1) for supplying this material, a briquetting machine (5) at a bottom opening of the stock vessel (2), and a device (8), expediently arranged below a part of the stock vessel, for conveying the material from the stock vessel to the briquetting machine. The point of the invention here is that a hopper (3) for storing reduced iron powder or iron dust from the hot-briquetting machine and/or carbon and a device (4) for transferring this material into the stock vessel (2) are provided, that the transfer device (4) has a device (7) for introducing inert gas and can be driven by a motor (11) at a controllable speed, whose controller (10) can be activated by a device (9), suitably located on the stock vessel (2), for measuring the temperature of the material, and that one end of the transfer device (4) penetrates the wall of the stock vessel (2) in an air-tight manner. <IMAGE>
