PURPOSE:Boiled rice is thrown into liquid nitrogen to effect rapid freezing and the resultant lump of rice is disintegrated by giving shock to the lump in liquid nitrogen, whereby boiled rice with high adhesion such as red rice is readily made into separate grains continuously. CONSTITUTION:Lumps of boiled rice are charged from the inlet 1 into the cooling part A and the charged boiled rice is dipped in liquid nitrogen. The frozen rice sinks in the liquid nitrogen and is drawn by the rotating guide blade 7 to the opening on the bottom of the cooling part A to fall down to the grain-separating part B. During the process, the frozen rice is made into separate grains by the action of the rotating cone blade 8 and the projection 9 and the separated rice grains sink through the gap between the blade and the projection. Then, the grains are transferred by the screw conveyor 12 on the bottom of the grain-separating part B. |
