An attachment device for a gun holster to a belt consists of a coupling element fixed to a strap having a loop through which the belt passes and a second coupling element, the first element has a projecting bar with transverse head and a friction surface surrounding the bar and transverse to it, while the second coupling element fits over the end of this bar and has a complementary surface to bear against the friction. Esp. suitable for police and other individuals travelling in vehicles, it permits the gun holster to swing forward about the pivoting bar for comfortable sitting, but nevertheless provides a firm frictional hold to keep the holster fixed and permit a quick draw of the gun.
