Flame cutting machine - where suction is used to hold master drawing on table below photoelectric scanner with drives burners in coordinate directions

The machine includes a flame cutting burner which is driven in at least one coordinate direction by a photoelectric sensor scanning a master pattern or drawing. The master pattern or drawing rests on a table using suction holes to hold the pattern or drawing in a fixed position. The pref. table has a top formed by a flat box connection to a suction fan. In the top surface of the table are rows of holes with a small dia. so a partial vacuum or suction holds the pattern or drawing in place. The holes in the table top can pref. be closed by pegs when they are not covered by the pattern or drawing, i.e. drawings of different size can be placed on the table. Similar conventional machines use wts. or adhesive strips to hold a pattern or drawing underneath the scanner. The invention provides secure location of the pattern or drawing without causing any damage.
