<p>PURPOSE:To reduce collision impact upon a buffer by a method wherein strikers are provided on the ground in the region where compulsary deceleration is demanded and the strikers cause the speed of a railway vehicle to switch over to low. CONSTITUTION:Strikers 1 and 2 are provided on the ground several meters this side of the ultimate buffer. Detection of the striker 1 by a limit switch 3 on a stacker crane activates a braking unit in which speed is switched over from high to medium. Speed is again switched over from medium to low when the limit switch 4 detects the striker 2. This reduces the shock of collision the buffer is to absorb, thereby preventing equipment damages.</p> |
