PURPOSE:To ensure a faithful position detection by a method wherein the speed of a stepping motor is lower at the time of position detecting than in other modes of travelling. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor running at a normal speed passes a point A and is temporarily stopped at a point B after passing two semgments where a position detecting switch is turned on two times in succession. Next, the stepping motor leaves the point B and rotates in reverse at a normal speed until it reaches a point C located after two successive turning off of the position detecting switch. Further, the stepping motor leaves the point C at a speed lower than normal towards a point D and is stopped after two successive switching on. By stopping and starting a stepping motor by this way, positions can be detected. |
