The invention relates to a circuit for the simultaneous bidirectional transmission of pulses on cables with transmitter and receiver at the cable input and output end. This type of pulse transmission is intended to provide for simultaneous mutually independent transmission of pulse duration or pulse phase modulated signals by simple means. For this purpose, the invention provides, both at the input and at the output end of the cable, and AND gate, connected to the coaxial cable via delay sections, and a connection of transmitter and receiver to the arrangement consisting of delay sections and AND gate. The simple signal differentiation by means of the delay sections is advantageous and little circuitry is used. The invention can be advantageously used for transmitting pulses in a time-division multiplex process. <IMAGE>
