Photosenstive copying material contains a condensation pdt. of an aromatic diazonium cpd. and a curable binder, the condensation pdt. contg. units of type A(-D)n and B, which are bonded together by divalent bridges derived from a condensable carbonyl cpd. (where A is the residue of a cpds. contg. at least two isocyclic or heterocyclic rings, which can be condensed in acidic medium with an active carbonyl cpd.; D is a diazonium salt group fixed to an aromatic C atom of A; n is 1-10; and B is the residue of a cpd. without a diazo group, which can be condensed in acidic medium with an active carbonyl cpd.; and the anion of the diazonium salt is derived from a C1-6 monosulphonic acid). The material has a high sensitivity to light, and a good stability during storage. The layers of the copying material can be developed by aqs. soln., pref. pure water.
