PURPOSE:To maximally utilize storage sections through a sorter capable of selecting the storage sections in a rapid copier, by finding out through an emptiness detector that recording paper has been taken out of a full storage section, to enable storage therein again. CONSTITUTION:An emptiness detector is provided at the bottom of each bin. A fullness detector is provided at the loading reference end of each bin. Light from a fluorescent lamp in a main body is detected to generate a signal. When a bin being selected is made full, it is changed for the next bin in a shown block 32 according to an instruction from a central processing unit. If the filled bin is the uppermost one in the block, it is changed for the lowest one. Stored paper is taken out of the full bin. An indicator 33 is lighted on and off for a full bin of higher priority for takeout. If paper is taken out of a bin of lower priority warning is given by a buzzer or the like. Preparations are thus made to continuously select the next bin. |
