DEVICE FOR PREVENTING RECORDING PAPER FROM BEING LEFT IN SORTER

PURPOSE:To prevent recording paper from being left, by providing a photoelectric detector and a light source for emitting light through bins, in the sorter of a copier with a plurality of bins, to detect the recording paper in the bins. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper Y from a copier A is conveyed from an outlet port D to a sorter B and distributed into bins 13 by the gate member 15 of the conveyor 4 of a distributing section. A plurality of holes 16 are provided in the bins 13 near their butts so that the holes 16 are arranged vertically. A light source lamp 17 is provided over the holes 16 and a photoelectric detector 18 is provided under them so that the lamp 17 and the detector 18 face each other through the holes. When it is fond out that recording paper Y is left in any bin 13, a warning light 19 is turned on to give warning.
