The invention is a device to make it possible to quickly fit and replace a non-contact switch (1) in a holder (6), where the switch is of the type that for its function requires accurate setting of the sensing distance, i.e. the distance between the switch's sensing surface (3) and the object (8) to be detected. The switch (1) consists of a sleeve (4) positioned at a carefully determined distance from the switch's sensing surface (3) and the holder (6) is fitted at a carefully determined distance from the detected object (8). One end of the holder (9) is adapted to the sleeve (4) so that the switch can only be fitted one way and cannot be turned. Because the sleeve (4) and holder (6) assume specific positions, the switch (1) can be fitted and replaced without subsequent adjustment of the sensing distance.<IMAGE> |
