A package of electrical and/or electronic components such as capacitors and resistors comprises a strip-shaped carrier 3 formed with apertures 5 which are uniformly spaced along the carrier for accommodating the components. The carrier is also formed with a row of feed perforations 7 by which the package can be fed along in a feed machine. The components are loosely positioned in the apertures and are retained therein by tapes 9, 11 and 17, 15 which are made of paper, for example, and which are glued to each side of the carrier so as partially to cover the apertures. The components are removed from the apertures by applying pressure to the components on one side thereof so as to press them through the space between the tapes at the other side. This tears these tapes, which may be locally slit (19) to facilitate tearing. In alternative embodiments, the apertures are completely covered on one side of the carrier by a single tape which may be imperforate, provided with openings coincident with apertures 5, or formed with slits (27) at the areas of the apertures to enable components to be pressed through the tape. <IMAGE> |
