<p>PURPOSE:To simply obtain in a short time an optimum rotational speed of a roll in the next rolling pass, by storing optimum rotational speeds of a roll-driving motor correspondingly to various rolling speeds for various products. CONSTITUTION:Various rolling conditions are set in a condition setter; a rotational speed corresponding to a diameter of a roll assigned to the rolling work is operated from the rotational speed of a motor for driving a reference roll, being stored in a memory 1; thus operated rotational speed is displayed on a preset speed display 41-n. Each stand 51-n is started by each controller 61-n, and each roll is driven at each rotational speed displayed on each display 41-n; thus controlled actual rotational speed is displayed on each actual speed display 81-n. After starting the rolling work, when the actual rotational speed of each motor 51-n is different from a patterned speed stored in the memory 1, a reader 9 is actuated for inputting the actual rotational speed into an arithmetic unit 3 which then converts the input into a rotatinal speed of a motor for driving a reference roll. Then, the stored rotational speed of motor is eliminated and is substituted by the said converted value.</p> |
