PURPOSE:To prevent a thin-walled shell part from mechanical breakdown by secur- ing a cylindrical shell body consisting of a thick-walled bottom part and said cylindrical shell part and a rotary plate supporting a rotating part and securing these to concentrical opposite revolving shafts, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical shell body 1 having been subjected to DI working consists of a thick-walled bottom part 2 and a thin-walled cylindrical shell part 3. The tapered surface 6 in the open end edge part of the part 3 is grasped by a ring 5 which is screwed and secured to the outside circumferential surface of a rotary plate 4. The plate 4 supports a rotating part 8 of a U-shape in section by a bridging part 9, and a small clearance is provided between the outside circumference of the part 9 and the part 3. Plural cooling water flow holes 10 are provided to the part 9. The part 2 and the plate 4 aer secured respectively to a pair of revolving shafts 11, 12 having concentrical revolving centers, thereby forming cooling water flow passages 13, 14. Thereby, the possibility of mechanical breakdown of the cylindrical shell body owing to phase deviation of the shafts 11, 12 is eliminated, the highly accurate working of the outside surface of the part 3 is made possible, and the water cooled roll for production of amorphous metal is formed. |
