The invention concerns a layout for welding workpieces, consisting of at least two parts, such as contact connection terminals, which layout comprises a welding torch 28 and a stand 1, on which clamping mechanisms are arranged. Each clamping mechanism consists of a stationary support element 2, on which structural parts of the workpiece are placed, and moveable elements 3 and 4, which can move in the direction toward the stationary support element 2 by means of a drive arrangement equipped with a lever. The moveable elements 3 and 4 consist of hinged together pairs of levers 7, 8, which are arranged symmetrically in relation to the plane of welding of the parts and are designed to be pressed against the workpieces by means of actuating elements 15 and 16 of the clamping mechanisms. On the stationary support element 2, furthermore, is arranged a stop, which is designed to secure the parts of the workpiece and comprises a strip 21, which can move via a drive arrangement in the form of levers 23 joined to the strip 21 in a moveable manner.
