PURPOSE:To obtain the sitting part adjusting device for vehicular seat capable of adjusting the posture according to the figure and liking of a driver or a passenger by a method wherein the holding situation of the thigh of the driver or passenger is changed by heaving the independent frontal marginal part departed from a sitting part main body. CONSTITUTION:An arm 12 mounted the independent frontal marginal part 2 thereon is fixed to a mainshaft 4, at the end of which an adjusting lever 3 and a lock lever 15 are mounted. The end of the mainshaft 4 is inserted in a subshaft 16, which is pivotally inserted in a holding bracket 10 fitted with a sector gear 9 at its lower part and fixed to a cushion frame 11. A pin 20, which moves vertically within the linear aperture 19 of a plate 18 fixed at its upper end to the subshaft 16, is fixed to a lock gear 8 with a toothed part to engine and disengage with the sector gear 9 at the lower part. The reclining angle of the independent frontal marginal part 2 can be adjusted as follows: the lock lever 15 is lowered; the subshaft 16 is pivoted to release the engagement between the lock gear 8 and the sector gear 9; and the adjusting lever 3 is operated to make adjustment. |
