PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the sucking of water into an engine, by leading the water, which has been intruded from the supporting section of an operation member of an outboard engine, into a lower part of a cowling while evading a suction passage to a carburetor. CONSTITUTION:A manual starter C includes a fixed member C1 and a rotatable member C2 supported rotatably thereby, and faces a fly-wheel magnet 5 at an end of a crank shaft 3. Said rotatable member C2 can be rotated via a wire 13 by pulling the operation member 14. The operation member 14 is supported over the suction passage 8 by a support member 15 and a sealing member 17, and projects from a window hole 16 of the cowling a. Below the sealing member 17 is provided a guide member 19 that will lead the water intruded through the sealing member into the lower part of the cowling. |
