The preparation of salts of pyridoxine-5'-phosphoric esters with amino acids of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which R is the hydroxymethyl, aminomethyl or formyl group and A is methylene or ethylene, is described. The process is based on the reaction of glutamic acid or aspartic acid with a corresponding pyridoxine-5'-phosphoric ester or particular metal salts thereof. The resulting products are used for the prophylaxis and therapy of metabolic disorders, especially for influencing the lipid and cholesterol balance. |
