<p>Carpet squares are made by weaving or otherwise applying pile threads to a base fabric and can be used as floor coverings instead of carpet bought as strips. The carpet material is cut on a perforated cutting plate and is subjected to a stream of air that is directed at the base fabric to straighten the pile fibres. Cutting is effected parallel to the warp or weft thread of the base fabric.</p> |
