PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of the flow velocity of even a fluid mixed with conductive dusts by arranging the detection coils in the direction of a fluid advances at a specified space in a path of the fluid in such a manner that the fluid runs through the coils. CONSTITUTION:A dust-containing gas flows through a duct 1 adapted such the gas from an electric furnace in the direction of the arrow 6. A detection coil 2 is located ahead in the direction of the gas flows, while a detection coil 3 is mounted therebehind separated by l. In this case, the dust flowing with the gas passes the front detection coil 2 and then the rear detection coil 3. The time lag therebetween can be determined by ts[sec]=[m]/Vs[m/sec], where the flow velocity of the dust containing gas is expressed by Vs[m/sec]. Therefore, by detecting the flow velocity thus obtained with an impedance measuring device, it is possible to measure the flow velocity of the gas mixed with conductive dust. |
