Riding boot ventilated by tube in leg - has tube communicating with groove in sole and holes in inner sole and lining

The riding boot has a groove (6) in the interior face of the sole (4) which opens towards the front of the boot (5). The leg of the boot has a tube (12) at the back and one extremity of this is open to the air and the other extremity communicates with the groove to ventilate the inside of the boot. The inner sole (14) and the lining (16) each have holes (18) which are aligned with the groove. The tube in the leg is relatively rigid and also forms a stiffener to hold the leg in shape.
