The toothbrush (3) has a handle (2) and an arcuate head (1) with the bristles fixed to its internal face, so that they surround the teeth. The brush can be made in one piece in injected plastics material or the head can be removable, being joined to the handle by a tenon and mortice joint. The head can be articulated to the handle with the head rotating round an axle. The two sides of the head can be hinged so that they can move to fit over different sized teeth.
