Title cpds. of formula (I) (where A is 2-3C unbranched alkylene and Hal is halogen and their acid addition salts, which are hypotensive agents without transient hypertension and tachycardia side effects are prepd. by reacting a correp. hydrazine deriv. and a cpd. of formula (II) H2N-C(Z)=NH where Z is an eliminable gp. pref. alkylthio or with an acid addition salt of (II).
