<p>To eliminate condensation in a carburettor for an I.C engine running on butane the condensates are extracted to the outside of the carburettor. They pass through a capillary orifice (11) between the vaporisation chamber (1) and the exterior. The condensates are forced through the passage by the pressure inside the carburettor, which is equal to, or greater than, that outside. The condensates block the passage with a sufficient head height to prevent air leakage into the carburettor. The pressure extraction can occur across a fibrous mesh in the base wall of the vaporisation chamber.</p> |
