PURPOSE:To enhance the uniformity in molding and vulcanizing a tyre and enhance sealing properties by a method wherein the relative rotational motions of a male screw threaded shaft and a female screw threaded cylinder are converted into rectilinear motions so as to move an upper ring vertically. CONSTITUTION:The central mechanism 10 for vertically moving the upper ring 18 which supports the upper end part of a bladder 11 is comprised of the male screw threaded shaft 35, a bush 38 connected with the lower end of a coupling rod 17, the female screw threaded cylinder 37 to which the bush 38 is screwed, and a key or spline 30 for converting the relative rotational motions of the shaft 35 and the cylinder 37 into the rectilinear motions. When the shaft 35 is rotated by driving a motor 32, the cylinder 37 moves vertically along the key 30 in a cylinder tube 14, whereby the upper ring 18 is moved vertically. Since no fluid is used, sealing of the system is easy. In addition, since the driving device is of a mechanical system, heat loss is made uniform and the tyre can be molded and vulcanized uniformly. |
