<p>Copolymer consisting of (i) 1-20 mol.% recurring units of formula (I) (where R1 and R2 are H or hydrocarbyl and R1 + R2 contain 10C), (ii) 2-20 mol. % recurring units of formula (II) (where M is H, alkali metal or NH4) and (iii) bal. acrylamide (III)units, is used as protective colloid, halogen acceptor and binder for Ag halide, and may replace gelatine, at least in part, in light-sensitive photographic Ag halide emulsions. It causes no haze formation and is more sensitive than gelatine.</p> |
