PURPOSE:To simplify the device and enhance the maintainability and safety thereof by a method wherein a piton rod is moved vertically by a rack-and-pinion mechanism and a shock-absorbing cylinder is provided for absorbing the shocks at the time of mold clamping. CONSTITUTION:The central mechanism for vertically moving an upper clamping ring 5 which holds the upper end part of a bladder 3 is comprised of the piston rod 33 which is provided with a rack 34 and is placed in a cylinder tube 31 in such a manner that it can be moved freely in the vertical direction, the upper clamping ring 5 connected to the upper part of the piston rod 33, a pinion 35, and the shock- absorbing cylinder 41 for absorbing the shocks arising from mold clamping. The piston rod 33 is moved vertically by driving the pinion 35, whereby the upper clamping ring 5 is moved vertically. The mold clamping pressure is absorbed safely by the shock-absorbing cylinder 41 through the piston rod 33 and a lower tube 43. Accordingly, the device is simple in structure and easy to maintain, as contrasted to the case of using a conventional hydraulic mechanism. |
