This indicator is particularly intended for use in a car. It contains, among other things, a route length sensor (3) for detecting a current route length for the vehicle, a gas-current value sensor (2) for detecting a current deviation of the direction angle which is generated by the vehicle during steering movements, a signal processing unit (4) for arithmetically obtaining a location such as is recorded in a two-dimensional field of coordinates over a given unit route length for the vehicle in correspondence with the output signals from the two sensors, namely the route length sensor (3) and the gas-current value sensor (2), and for storing the location-related data thus obtained, which change from time to time as the vehicle is continuing its travel, in succession in order to visually display a continuous route of the vehicle on the display screen, and a sensitivity adjusting switch (7) for adjusting a current output sensitivity of the gas-current value sensor (2), which allows a current error in the output signal of the gas-current value sensor (2) to be compensated for in correspondence with the signal processing unit (4) in accordance with an adjusting signal from the sensitivity adjusting switch (7). <IMAGE>
