An electron-beam tube comprises a cathode (2) made of separate strips (6) which are placed along the length of the tube and the surfaces of which serve as emitting parts of the cathode (2). Each strip (6) of the cathode (2) is provided with an adjacent focusing cathode (9) electrically connected to the cathode (2) and located in the immediate proximity of the strip (6), and with a pair of rods (10) of a control electrode (3) so oriented in relation to the strip (6) that the whole electron beam focused with the adjacent cathode (9) passes between those rods (10). The following relationships are observed in the tube: (FORMULE) where a is the width of the strip (6) of the cathode (2), b is the width of an inlet slot (17) for the electron beam of the chamber (13) of the anode (5), c is the distance between the strip (6) of the cathode (2) and the rods (10) of the control electrode (3), d is the distance between the rods (10) of the control electrode (3) and ribs (16) of the chamber (13) of the anode (5), e is the depth of the chamber (13) of the anode (5).
|
