The paired guide-rods are hinged to a cup-shaped piece let into a door wing, and another hinge piece fixed to the side of a piece of furniture, so as to form two quadrilateral sets. One guide-rod mounted on the side-fixed hinge piece (202) consists of two parts (212), separated at an interval. These are mounted on sidewalls of this hinge piece, esp. in the area of a mounting bridge (214) connecting the sidewalls and set back from the open end of the hinge piece. Separate pins (213) are used for mounting them. The two hinge pieces may be interconnected by a cross strut above their independent coaxial hinge points (213). This is compact, without loss of mechanical load bearing capacity.
