PURPOSE:To evaluate an equipment and to detect a fault, by controlling a collection device for collecting a bus information as one constituting element, in an information processing equipment which selects one of plural input/output devices by the processor, and transmits and receives a data through a common bus. CONSTITUTION:Processors CPUA, CPUB, input/output ports IO1-IOn and a main memory MM are connected to a common bus, and a bus data collection device BLM is also connected to the common bus as one input/output port. An intrinsic IO port number is assigned to the collection device BLM, and a programmable operation is instructed from the processor by a data transfer mode. In a data transfer mode between the processor and the IO, when an operation is instructed to the device BLM from the processor, the device BLM monitors the bus, data of an address bus AB, a data bus DB and a control bus CB are collected in a memory device in the device BLM, and when data of 4K portion are collected, an instruction is given to the processor, the collected data are transferred to the processor and are outputted to a printer, etc. |
