A moulding composition comprises (a) at least one saturated linear polyester (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate or poly-1,4-dimethylolcyclohexane terephthalate) derived from at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid optionally admixed with at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and at least one aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diol, and (b) 0À005 to 5% by weight of boron nitride (based on total composition) of grain size below 10 microns, preferably below 2 microns, optionally in admixture with calcium sulphate, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide or talc. Minor amounts of copolymers of butadiene and styrene or of ethylene with vinyl acetate or an ester of acrylic acid may also be incorporated. |
