The thermally insulated glove for protecting the hand against heat has a heat-reflecting shield (3) in the form of a pocket (8) which is filled with insulated or heat-retaining material. This pocket (8) completely covers the back of the hand and the fingers. Around the thumb (4), the wrist (5) and the little finger (6), the pocket (8) is joined on the outsides to the glove (2). The pocket (8) has an opening (12) into which the material is inserted, with a sliding clasp fastener for closing it. The pocket (8) is attached to the other fingers at the tips (14) by elastic bands (7).
