The present electronic cash register contains a sales data memory (38) comprising twenty-four memory sections (M1 ... M24) for storing sales data registered in each case within a selected hour. Each desired memory section in the sales data memory can be selected by a selection circuit allocated to all memory sections. Sales data stored in the selected memory section can be transferred to a printer arrangement (32) via a read-out circuit (40) in order to be printed out on a sales slip and/or on a registration strip for administration purposes. <IMAGE>
