Rolling mill coupling for clamping replaceable roll on roll shaft - using coupling bar with hammer head forming bayonet connection

A roll, esp. a conical roll, is located in an overhanging manner on the end of a hollow roll shaft, which rotates in bearings in a roll head. The coupling includes a bar (I), which can rotate in the bore of the roll shaft and has a hammer head which forms a bayonet connection with a hole in the roll. The hole in the roll can pref. be closed by a screw cap; and bar (I) pref. has flats so it can be turned by a spanner. Bar (I) pref. also forms a piston in a work cylinder located in the hollow roll shaft. A simple coupling permitting rapid roll change.
