PURPOSE:To enable uniform and rapid cooling of the metal band in width direction by arranging the cooling medium flow passage by the parting member in the space between the inner peripheral surface of the roll body and the internal cylinder inside the roll from the middle part to the both ends of the roll. CONSTITUTION:The parting member 11 is provided in the space between the roll body 10 and the internal cylinder 12 fitted to the rotation shaft 13. E.g. spiral plate members 11 are arranged in said space to circulate cooling water 3 from the middle part to the both ends of the roll. Cooling water 3 is supplied from the inlet 3a, discharged from the outlet 3b. The metal band 1 is made to contact directly to the wall body 10. |
