<p>Store stores a limited number of pattern elements in the form of coded information, which can be read into the store. The store can be interrogated as a function of the machine characteristics and the pattern. Means decode, distribute and convert the decoded information into electrical control signals. The store and converter are connected by two paths, one direct, for direct transfer of decoded store contents, and the other indirect, with the aid of an information carrier between the store and converters, for the transfer of the decoded store contents again and again, corresponding to several divisions of the pattern; this indirect mode operates when the number of elements in the pattern is greater than the capacity of the store.</p> |
