PURPOSE:To improve ventilation of a fluorescent lamp device body, by making slit like air vents opening along the axial direction of a cap in the periphery of the device body. CONSTITUTION:Slit like air vents 13... for communicating the outside and the inside of a base 3 with each other, are made in the periphery of the base 3 along its circumferential direction. The air vents 13... are formed in a body when the base 3 is formed by molding, and opened along almost the whole circumference, in the condition with plural rows arranged concentrically close to each other and along the axial direction of a cap 8. Furthermore, a through hole communicating the outside and the inside of a globe 10 with each other is made in the top of the globe 10. As the opening directions of the air vents 13... are nearly coincident with the direction of hot air convection, ventilation in the base 3 is improved. |
