The invention relates to a catheter for the flow of fluids, consisting of a plastic tube with at least one distal connection piece. Such catheters are used, for example, for connecting, to the body of the patient, the metering unit of an infusion apparatus which can be carried on the human body. According to the invention, the plastic tube (1, 101, 201) is enclosed by a further tube (3, 103, 203) as protection against buckling. In a first embodiment of the invention, only that area of the plastic tube (1) directed towards the connection piece (2) is enclosed by the further tube (3). In further embodiments of the invention, the outer tube (103) extends over the length of the whole of the inner catheter tube (101), or the outer tube (203) is longer than the inner catheter tube (101). <IMAGE>
