PURPOSE:To prevent leakage by providing a hollow part in one part of a metal ring and an insulating ring, respectively, and pinching a separator in a small battery composed of a positive electrode fed in a positive electrode can, the upper periphery of the positive electrode being provided with a metal ring, and a negative electrode can closely sealed through an insulating ring. CONSTITUTION:In a small battery provided with a metal ring 15 on the upper periphery of a positive electrode 14 fed in a positive electrode can 12 and a negative electrode can 11 for supporting a negative electrode through an insulating ring 13, which is fastened with an edge 12a of the positive electrode can 12, hollow parts 15a and 16a are provided at one part of the metal ring 15 and the insulating ring 13, respectively, to pinch the periphery of the separator 16 therewith. The hollow parts can be made either or both of the insulating ring and the metal ring. The separator is not destroyed nor causes leakage owing to close connection between the insulating ring and the metal ring even when fastening powder is added in sealing. |
