PURPOSE:To prevent the heat conduction from an original in contact development and form a heat-sensitive recording material capable of obtaining a picture of less fogging, by a method wherein a heat-insulating layer which is removed in development is provided on the uppermost layer of said heat-sensitive recording material. CONSTITUTION:The heat-sensitive recording material is obtained by providing a heat-sensitive layer (example: a resin layer formed by compounding ionomer resin and a water-soluble polymer compound in the ratio of 2:3-9:1 by weight) on a carrier (such as paper, aluminum foil or the like) through an intermediate layer if necessary and moreover forming thereon a heat-insulating layer (example: a layer consisting of gum arabic, gelatin and a cellulose) of thickness on the order of 3- 30mu which is removed in development. In addition, it is preferable that the surface of said heat-insulating layer is roughed by a process using an roughing roller or by compounding said layer with a mat material. |
