ANIMAL TRAP AND TRAPPING METHOD

A disposable mousetrap comprises an elongated plastic housing having an air-tight swinging door biased toward its closed condition by a rubber band, An articulated arm extends from the door to the floor of the housing and thence to a detent located near the rear of the interior of the housing. A trigger for disengaging the arm from the detent is secured to the arm at the end of the arm which is remote from the door. This structure, and particularly the articulated arm, allows all of the parts of the trap except for the rubber band to be injection molded as a unit.
