PURPOSE:To prevent a tone arm from malfunctioning when a turntable moves toward a storage position side from a play position, by inhibiting the turning of the tone arm by a pickup stopper which moves in contact with a slide base having the installed turntable, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a slide base 9 having an installed turntable 44, etc., moves toward a storage position side from a play position through the turning of a rack driving gear 15, the right terminal part of the base 9 comes into contact with the cam part 35a of a pickup stopper 35, which turns to right. The terminal part 23a of a pickup plate 23 which fixes a tone arm 5 and also turns in one body engages with the stopper 35 to stop the turning of the arm 5. Consequently, when the turntable 44 moves toward the storage position side from the play position, the malfunction and erroneous operation of the tone arm is prevented securely. |
