PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacture cost of a magnetic head by connecting a thin lead-wire film to a connector by fitting a substrate, provided with an element and the thin lead-wire film, in a recess part for substrate fitting having a connection part formed in the connector. CONSTITUTION:An element 11 and a thin lead-wire film 12 in conduction with it are formed on a substrate 13 by plating, vapor deposition, sputtering, etc., and a connection part 14 strong enough to resist friction is provided at one terminal of the thin lead-wire film. In the upper part of a connector 15, a recess part 16 for substrate fitting is formed and a connector connection part 17 corresponding to the connection part 14 is provided. Then, the substrate 15 is fitted in the recess part 17 to connect the connection parts 14 and 17 together electrically, and left and right assemblies 18 are fitted to the substrate 13 in contact. Consequently, a soldering process for the connection between the substrate and connector by using thin wires like conventional structure is sliminated and a peeling phenomenon of the thin lead- wire film due to head generated in the process disappears, thus obtaining a magnetic head with stable electric connections at low cost. |
